Car vs Building plus pin in Trenton
Photos and story by: Gary Szabo
Trenton (Mercer)--Two people were seriously injured last night (Nov. 7th) as their car went out of control and struck a building at the intersection of Perry St. and N. Broad St. Firefighters were called to the scene shortly after 7 PM for a single car MVA with entrapment.
Using hydraulic tools, members of Rescue 1, Ladder 4, and Engine 10 worked to free both occupants from the wreckage. They were transported to the Trauma Center at the nearby Fuld Campus of the Capital Health System.
Investigators believe the car was traveling at a high rate of speed and discovered nearly 80 feet of skid marks prior to impact. A building inspector was called to the scene to determine the structural stability of the building from the crash impact.
